FAQs: Sore No-More Performance Line
SORE NO-MORE PERFORMANCE GELOTION
Q: Since the Gelotion has a thicker consistency, will it be slippery if used under a saddle pad while riding, causing friction?
A: No, the Gelotion’s thicker consistency makes for easier application but does not affect the uses of it. It can still be used as other Sore No-More Liniments, under tack, boots, wraps, blankets and therapeutics with no adverse effects. Regardless of the thicker consistency, it still absorbs and has no oils or silicone to make it slick or leave residue after use.
Q: If I am sensitive to chemicals, will it irritate my skin when applying like other liniments?
A: It should not have any adverse effect to human skin, as it is a blend of herbs and has no harsh additives. Many other liniments contain menthol, capsaicin or alcohol which, contribute to the burning that many people and horses feel. However, if you have concerns consult your doctor.
Q: Can Sore No-More® Performance Gelotion be used in combinations with other liniment products?
A: Sore No-More® Performance Gelotion is safe to use with only other Sore No-More ® products. Use with other liniment topical products outside the Sore No-More® line may cause irritation.
Q: What are the added benefits of having a liniment in a “Gelotion” form?
A: The added benefit is that the Gelotion has a thicker consistency making it an ideal choice to apply to areas on the horse where regular liquid liniments may run off. It offers a precise application.

SORE NO-MORE PERFORMANCE POULTICE
Q: Can I just apply Sore No-More® Performance Poultice by itself and turn my horse out?
A: The Sore No-More poultices are designed to be used alone and without wraps or supervision. You may apply right before turning your out but we recommend that you let it dry before turning your horse out and the weather conditions are not cold or wet. If used in inclement conditions and not allowed to dry, it will not be as effective.
Q: I board my horse where there is not easy access to a wash area, is Performance Poultice easy to remove?
A: The Sore No-More poultices are just as easy to remove as they are to apply. Once the poultice is fully dry, it can be brushed off on hair and picked out of hooves with little effort. If you know you’ll be regularly removing poultice without water, using a slightly thinner application is recommended.
Q: If I am using to draw out a hoof abscess, how would I use Performance Poultice?
A: Our poultices can be used in place of or with a hoof packing of your choice to help draw out abscesses. It is best to apply a protective boot or hoof wrap over the poultice after packing the foot with poultice to avoid contamination and increase effectiveness.
Q: Can I use Performance Poultice on other areas of the body besides the lower limbs and hooves?
A: Yes, depending on the area, this poultice could be used on other areas besides lower limbs. It is not suggested to use on areas where riding equipment would come in contact with before a ride or during. While we do not recommend using on sensitive areas or open wounds, this poultice is safe to use on any areas you deem necessary. However, if you are intending on using Performance Poultice outside of the labeled uses, we highly recommend you consult with your veterinary before application.
