Horse Journal

"Good choice as a body brace and all-purpose liniment. Produces fast pain relief for acute and chronic problems and reduces swelling rapidly."

Nona Garson - Olympic Medalist & Leading Lady Grand Prix Rider

"I really think that natural herbal supplements are the way forward in the equestrian world. The Equilite product line makes me feel confident that I am providing my top level international horses with the supplements they need to maintain a high level of performance. I love Equilite's Sore No More Liniment. Having the availability of both liquid and gel provides me with multi-purpose product that really works! It is marvelous for a variety of uses including massage and wrapping. I even use it as a body wash on Grand Prix days just before I use my Centurion Magnetic Blanket. With the Equilite line of products, I feel more confident about the long-term well being of my horses."

Jennie Brannigan - Three Day Eventer

"I love using Sore No-More Liniment after gallops or a hard jump school. It is easy and quick to use. Sore No-More Massage Shampoo is the best thing to have at the box after Cross Country. The low sudsing formula makes it perfect for giving the horse a quick bath after they are cooled out! The Cooling Clay Poultice is the best I've ever used. Thanks for all the great products!"

Barclay T.

"We use Sore No More Equine Liniment as part of our daily program and have for years. All of our horses get a pre-race rubdown with Sore No more to help warm up their muscles, especially in the hind end! It is an important part of our groom's routine. It helps us to get to the Winner's Circle."

Bob R.

"I am an equine massage therapist – Sore No More is the best liniment out on the market. I recommend Sore No More to all my clients. I've gone so far as to use it on myself as well. It is an integral part of my massage routine. And it does not blister my hands like Biegeloil and Absorbine did. Many, many thanks for a wonderful product."

Gary Severson - The Saddle Doctor

"Sore No More Horse Liniment has become an integral part of my saddle fitting routine. The main reason for fitting and adjusting saddles is for the comfort of the horse. In my work, I often find varying degrees of muscle tenderness and pain during the back examination. The Sore No More Equine Liniment will convey a foaming reaction wherever a tender, sore sport exists under the saddle. It has not only helped to make my client's horses backs more comfortable but it is an excellent indicator for areas that need to be cared for in the equine athlete."

Gina K.

"We had a show this weekend with footing that was so deep and slick we filed a complaint. My horse only went in because he was doing a Long Stirrups class for a friend's child and the judge had decreed no cantering after two ponies fell in the mess. Trotting was safe, but you could tell it was a slog. I put the Sore No More Horse Liniment on his legs as soon as he came out and again when he got home and today he was the only horse that was not showing any stiffness at all. I'm sure it was from the Sore No more Equine Liniment!"

Jessica N.

"I use Sore No More Equine Liniment on all of my horses and myself. I use it both proactively and reactively and absolutely love the product. It makes my horses and I feel so much better!"

John S.

"Giacomo (2005 Kentucky Derby Winner) uses Sore No More Horse Liniment as his regular leg brace. We believe it to be safe and effective liniment. Showcase of champions inside."

Karen O'Connor - Olympic Medalist, Three-Day Eventing

"It's (Sore No More Horse Liniment) a terrific product. It enables us to use it on the muscles, on the big large muscle mass of the horse whenever his back is sore, or when his hind end is tired from the work. It is really, really great!"

Kimberly V.

"I love your Sore No More Horse Liniment...I'm an Equine massage Therapist and use it regularly on my horses as well as others (not to mention, my feet as well!). Thanks!"

Lee B.

"Quito II is a 17 year-old Belgian Warmblood that I compete on in the 3' jumper and 2' equitation classes. After a long day of showing on Saturdays and Sundays, I like to give him a whole body wash with the Sore No More Liniment. I dilute it with water and apply it all over with a sponge, and then follow up with rolling a tennis ball over him (a tip I got off your website!). He really enjoys the entire process, and Sore No More has a very pleasant small as well – not medicine-y like some other liniments. I've actually used the leftover liniment in the bucket on my arms and hands!"

Louise Serio - USHJA Professional

"Sore No More Horse Liniment is always used in my barn. We use it on a daily basis to ensure our horses can be the best they can be. We want all of our horses to be treated like true champions."

Patsy W.

"Sore No More liniment is an on-going part of our daily routine with all of our horses. Dressage and Combined driving is hard work, so the horses look forward to their run down with this very effective and wonderful product."

Sharon C.

"I have never tried any product that I have seen such immediate results as Sore No More Horse Liniment. I dilute it for a body wash or use it straight for a leg brace after a workout. It is the first thing I apply if I notice any swelling or soreness on my horse or myself!"

Stacy P.

"I use Sore No More liniment during competitions on their legs when I wrap them up for the night. After riding on different footing than at home, it helps to keep their legs tight and prevents them from walking out stiff in the morning."

Arenus® Ambassador Suzy Stafford - Combined Driving Professional

"A gallon jug of Sore No-More is a must have in my wash stall and show tack room! My grooms joke that I use this liniment in place of water. I also find it helpful when a new horse comes into the barn with little or no fitness. I have not found a better product that gives comparable relief of sore or tense muscles. It’s just as important to me that it has an Arnica base that allows me to use this product freely on even the most sensitive of skin types. I also use this liniment in rehab situations when needed. I warm the liquid and apply as directed."

Tracey G.

"I have tried many different liniments but none of them came close to the results. I got with Sore No More. My horse, Biscuit will always have his rub down with the liniment after a hard, stressful workout."

Angie Ferrell - Trail Professional

This is one of my favorite products and I love to share with others. I not only use on/after riding but I also use in our breeding program. I like to use after breeding and our stallion likes it.

Q & A

  1. Why is Sore No-More® Liniment better than others on the market?

The Sore No-More® Liniment is unique in that it is an arnica based, cooling liniment. It is wonderful for animals with sensitive skin. It will not burn or blister them like other liniments may. Since it does not contain oils, you can put it on your horse's back, throw on the tack and go ride to loosen up a tight back.

  2. Can Sore No-More® be used under wraps/bandages?

Yes! Sore No-More® works great as a leg brace and contains no harsh chemicals that cause skin irritations. Perfect for horses with sensitive skin.

  3. Is Sore No-More® safe to use with magnets?

Sore No-More® is the ONLY liniment safe to use with magnets because it is an all-natural cooling liniment contrary to all other liniments on the market.

  4. Does Sore No-More® contain any chemicals or harsh abrasives?

No! Sore No-More® is an all-natural, herbal liniment. With an arnica and witch hazel base, this liniment is fabulous to use on horses with sensitive skin.

  5. Is Sore No-More® safe to compete on at horse shows?

The USEF has determined that ingredients in Sore No-More®, which does not contain capsaicin, are safe to be used as a topical liniment. There are other products on the market that may carry a similar name to ours, but they do indeed contain capsaicin, which will create a testing problem at the horse shows. So make sure you are using and asking for Arenus® Sore No-More® Liniment products.

  6. What is the difference between the regular Sore No-More® Liniment and the Sore No-More® Gelotion?

Sore No-More® Gelotion is based upon the original formula for the Sore No-More® Liniment but in a thicker form. There are absolutely no chemicals added, just xanthum gum as a natural thickener. You won't lose a drop!

  7. What is the difference between Sore No-More® Liniment and Sore No-More® TrackSide?

Arenus has re-formulated Sore No-More® into a slightly different version of the award winning liniment removing the lobelia and adding comfrey, which is called Sore No-More® Trackside.

  8. Are your products tested?

Yes, multiple times. Each raw ingredient arrives at the manufacturing facility with a certificate of analysis. The raw materials are then tested upon arrival to see if there has been any contamination during transport. The raw materials are then blended and once again tested for various types of bacteria or pathogens that could have contaminated the product.

  9. Is Sore No-More® okay to use under FEI sanctioned shows? Will it test "positive" to any "prohibitive substances"?

Sore No-More®, used properly as a topical liniment, should not test positive under FEI regulations to any "prohibitive substances". However, FEI has been contacted specifically concerning the use of Sore No-More® at FEI sanctioned events and Equilite®/Arenus® is awaiting their response.

Lobeline is listed on the FEI's list and Sore No-More® has trace amounts of lobelia, but it has never shown up in the blood or urine test.

Note: competitors showing under either USEF or FEI are encouraged to read the rules for both organizations and contact them directly to ask for a ruling concerning the use of any product that is not clear as various disciplines/sports have the options to adopt either USEF or the more stringent FEI standards for competition.

Arenus® will continue to keep you informed on any changes to products and how they might affect your ability to compete.
