"I love your products. I was told to put my 17 year old warmblood cross down in October, 2009. He had been on daily bute for 7 years because of severe founder. "After several frustrating months of making progress with his physical health, and then losing all gains, along with the stress of not being able to feed him a sand removal product he could tolerate, my veterinarian recommended I try the Assure product line. "My wife and I own a 14 year old Standardbred gelding, Red Twist. From the time Red was a yearling, he's suffered three, four, sometimes five impaction colics every year. No matter how hard we tried to carefully manage him, with small, frequent feedings, plenty of fresh water, flotation tests for sand every month and enough psyllium to fill a boxcar, we never found a way to keep him pain-free. Any stress, a snowstorm, unusually hot weather, the Super Bowl one year when Red was apparently unhappy because the Broncos weren't playing, was enough to trigger colic pain for Red, a visit from our vet, and a sleepless night for Marcia and me. When our vet recommended the Assure System, our reaction was frankly skeptical. "A typical case is Buddy, a 29 year old Thoroughbred gelding who required treatment for colic about every other month for the past year. He had lost body condition so I encouraged the owner to bring Buddy to my farm and turn him out in my pasture of fertilized Coastal Bermuda. Buddy did not show any signs of colic for the next 6 weeks and he developed a grass belly. He didn’t fill out his topline or his ribcage. “My Daughters’ barrel horse presented with Ulcer symptoms and so we decided to scope him. Upon examination we discovered that the horse had significant ulceration in multiple areas of the stomach especially in the greater curvature of the margo plycatas.
