Erika Wager

Bio:

Erika Wager has been involved with horses throughout her life and has always known she wanted a career in the equine industry. Growing up, she focused her efforts in Arabian and Saddlebred barns showing in huntseat and saddleseat disciplines. Afterward, she found herself working for a thoroughbred racehorse trainer and fell in love with the racing industry. In college, she earned a degree in the Equine Science and Management which she quickly put to use while training horses and managing several ranches throughout the USA. While working at an off-track thoroughbred rehabilitation facility in New York, Erika was involved in a life-changing accident while breezing a young horse. She was paralyzed from the waist down, but she wasn't going to let that stop her from riding again. A mere six months after her accident, she was back in the saddle and working toward her goal of competing in para dressage.
